Procurement Strategy – Group Purchasing Cooperatives
Our sourcing strategy for non-profit organizations primarily involves leveraging competitive bidding through purchasing cooperatives.
The vendor members within these group purchasing cooperatives are typically manufacturers who have participated in a competitive RFP and are awarded contracts based on their negotiated discounted offerings for their brands, including agreed-upon pricing and contractual time frame periods. Each vendor member is listing on the group purchasing cooperatives website.
Each manufacturer works closely with Texas Wilson to pass on their negotiated GPO discounts to the end user. We provide transparent quoting and price list information, enabling customers to verify the discounts being offered by the dealer.
While Texas Wilson does not have a direct contract with any purchasing cooperatives as a vendor, we have established agreements with our manufacturing partners to represent their terms and conditions.
For projects of your magnitude utilizing GPOs, they often fall within negotiated tiers of manufacturers’ agreements. In such cases, we advocate for the buyer’s project opportunity to secure even deeper discounts through negotiation.
Procurement Strategy – Open Market Products (not available on any Purchasing Cooperatives)
This situation occurs when there are unique products, and the manufacturer does not have agreement with a GPO. In this case, Texas Wilson would propose a cost + plus strategy to allow your team the flexibility to curate the best products and finishes for the project. We would provide competitive discounting based on the larger volume of the entire project.
